All mice in the G-series carry one or two DPI switches which can be customised in the drivers to switch between sensitivity levels to suit the task at hand. Logitech also introduced the value-orientated G100s for gamers on a budget who don’t want the frills. The G500s also features adjustable weights, allowing users to adjust the mouse’s weight by up to 27 grams.

The mice also differ in the materials used on the thumb and pinky rests – the new G400s has a soft-touch rubberised surface while the G500s and G700s both have harder plastic bases for better grip. Logitech says they have improved the sensors in the mice and have moved to better infrared optics to improve performance in demanding situations. Logitech has also added fingerprint-resistant coatings, while palm areas feature a hydrophobic coating to help keep your hands from sticking during long gaming sessions. The G-series is aimed at gamers and includes not only a cosmetic refresh but also some new features designed to make gaming marathons more comfortable. Logitech has announced the launch of a new range of products under the G-series name.
